Police file – Thomas Sullivan – 31st January 1887

The following telegram received from Jarrahdale Station.

To Commissioner of Police

Private Confidential. Two men knocking about here last fortnight apparently plenty money named respectively Adam McCullock and Thomas Sullivan Lacey [lately?] from Roebourne suspect latter if not both seem to know something about Roebourne murder. If you deem it good enough send detective here quietly might be able gain some information.

The following telegram received from Jarrahdale Station.

To Commissioner of Police

Interviewed Sullivan again maintains he can give reliable information but appears frightened to do so without consulting his mate McCullock. Latter remains sober while Sullivan is generally half muddled.
